Communion
Beginning at the left, a figure is shown with arms outstretched in pose of worship. Radiating from the figure’s heart, the three lines of the trinity envelop the figure as they spiral around and eventually spread out and overtake the remainder of the table surface. Thus communion begins with accepting Jesus as your Savior, the Holy Spirit impressing all these subjects into your heart, and then God is free to take control over your life. On the right, the Jesus line splits into two paths representing body and blood. The blood line turns more reddish orange and becomes very fluid, loosing all wrinkles and folds. A hand is shown forming from the blood line pouring out a cup of wine, signifying Jesus’ willingness to give His life for us. Also alluding to Jesus’ sacrifice is a hand holding three nails. Finally, we see two hands breaking bread in the sacrament of communion. These two hands are the same hands that were earlier committing adultery on the sin side. This speaks to the redemptive power of Christ in allowing anyone, at anytime, the opportunity to come back to God.
