"Praise His Name"
“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.” (Psalm 113:3) People seem to be intrinsically enamored by the sky. This seems to be even truer for Kansans, who have grown accustomed to living with flat land and a huge expanse of sky. Our smart phones and digital cameras are populated with countless images of glorious sunrises and sunsets. Psalm 19:1-3 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”
The range of colors and patterns displayed in the sky throughout the day is truly breathtaking and should inspire in us praise for our Creator. So the next time you snap a picture of a spectacular sky, remember to express honor and gratitude to the Lord God who made it.
