CLASS ENROLLMENT, CANCELLATION, & REFUND POLICIES
Please help me continue to offer these art classes at the most affordable price as possible by reading and adhering to these enrollment and cancelation policies
ENROLLMENT POLICY & OPTIONS
Enrollment for all art classes and workshops at Mize Art Studio is handled through the online platform Sawyer. Students MUST sign up BEFORE attending a class by either registering online or contacting the studio at least two hours in advance. As class sizes continue to grow, signing up in advance is the only way to guarantee a spot in class. Failure to register in advance does risk there not being space available in class for students who show up without prior notice.
There are multiple options available for registering for classes:
The Drop-In option allows you the flexibility of choosing only the classes you want to attend and paying up front for just those dates. The Drop-In option does not reserve a spot in any classes other than the dates you select
Enrolling with the Monthly Payment Plan option provides the convenience of automated monthly payments and guarantees students a spot in the class for every future month until you decide to cancel. (It's worth noting that the default date in which Sawyer automates payments is the first of each month, however this can be changed.) Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time without penalty as long as notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the next payment date.
Class Packs have become an extremely popular option for many students as they allow the flexibility and convenience of purchasing multiple spots in a class at a discounted rate that are not tied to any specific date. These spots, which do eventually expire, can be applied to any of the weekly sessions of a class that have openings. It is advised when purchasing Class Packs to immediately assign all of the spots to class dates to guarantee placement in a class. These dates can be rescheduled with 24 hours advance notice.

CANCELLATIONS
Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached, in the event of inclement weather, or when other unexpected circumstances may arise. (I typically follow USD 501 for cancelling classes due to weather.) Students/Parents will be notified by text of cancelations as early as possible. When I cancel a class or workshop, every prepaid student will have the option of transferring their enrollment to a future class or receiving a credit on a Sawyer digital gift card in the amount of the class fee. This gift card balance can be used on any future studio purchases.
REFUNDS, CREDITS, & TRANSFERS
Class fees not only cover professional instruction, use of supplies, and use of the studio space, but also the availability of my time. As the sole proprietor of a small business, it can be difficult when I've been planning for a class and scheduling my time accordingly to be prepared for it, only to have several people cancel at the last minute. As is the common practice for nearly all varieties of classes and lessons, credits and refunds are not available if a student cancels the day of class, or misses a class without any communication. However, if a parent/student provides at least 24 hour prior notification, I'm happy to transfer their enrollment to a future date or apply a credit on a Sawyer digital gift card in the amount of the class fee.
